I have been threatened via phone by an ebay seller..

I now recall something like this happening to me.

Around a year + ago I was a bit lonely and posted on a social site that I was looking to make some new friends, preferred women as they are easier to talk to and this guy writes me back calling me a sad ass loser and every name under the sun. I wrote back callin him a bitch and tellin him to stay the feck away from my threads if he didnt like them.

He writes back with a serious attitude so I typed his e-mail address in to google and did some searching.

I found out he recently moved to the country, had a wife and drove a BMW M3. I also found out the name of the complex he was living in.

I typed him an e-mail saying I too used to drive a BMW M3 but sold it and got the M5 as it fit in to my work more professionaly. I also explained that the accomodation where he was living was nice but he should consider moving. I also explained the town was a small place and people catch up with each other quite easily.

Poor guy wrote back to me so fast I didn't know what happened. 4 whole paragraphs of sorry and he didn't know why he did that and said those things to me.

Was the best 5 minutes I spent on google ever!

I like Ebay and have gotten some great deals from there. I can't believe a seller would call you 1st! That is the first sign of a trans. going bad. Then for him to threaten you! Big sign - make U turn. What a jerk!

I bought a laptop on ebay 2 days ago. Today I got a call from teh seller and I was told that pay pal is holding my money that I paid till I would send a positive feedback before he sends the laptop or they will release the funds after three days since the laptop was delivered.

It seems that this is a new policy as some accounts are randomly selected and have funds on hold...

I told the seller that I cant leave a + feedback before I see the merchandise as it is foolish and absurd....he said that he cant send my laptop till he has the money at hand....

We got in a heated exchange and I told him that I leave hima negative feedback if he doesnt send the laptop...then, he blew off his lid as the threatened me as he knows my address and phone number and called me mofocker.....in the back he heard my baby crying as he mentioned that " so you have small kids"..

I told him that teh call has been recorded and I will call the cops..

I also called paypal and I was advised to file a complaint..I could also call my phone company and the police...

I am still debating though...

What would you do?

It's Paypal's policy. I would not skirt around. This is for your protection. He's the seller and it's his responsibility to know this. I would contact Ebay to let them know what he has done for sure.

I told ebay about it and they said that because it was over the phone they cant do much....unless is an email, they cant do nothing..

I am thru with ebay...the dont give a shit...
