I have been threatened via phone by an ebay seller..

I bought a laptop on ebay 2 days ago. Today I got a call from teh seller and I was told that pay pal is holding my money that I paid till I would send a positive feedback before he sends the laptop or they will release the funds after three days since the laptop was delivered.

It seems that this is a new policy as some accounts are randomly selected and have funds on hold...

I told the seller that I cant leave a + feedback before I see the merchandise as it is foolish and absurd....he said that he cant send my laptop till he has the money at hand....

We got in a heated exchange and I told him that I leave hima negative feedback if he doesnt send the laptop...then, he blew off his lid as the threatened me as he knows my address and phone number and called me mofocker.....in the back he heard my baby crying as he mentioned that " so you have small kids"..

I told him that teh call has been recorded and I will call the cops..

I also called paypal and I was advised to file a complaint..I could also call my phone company and the police...

I am still debating though...

I do'nt think sellers can even leave neg. feedback now. Ask for the money back and then go buy another one. Then leave him a nasty feedback with all those details!! lol.

as an ebay member you can request personal info from the seller as he could do the same from the buyer, thus he got my phone number.
I also have his address and phone number from ebay.

I wouldn't send the laptop without money in hand, either. I also wouldn't threaten the other person. Don't pay him, don't do anything. Buy another laptop.

I already paid via pay pal.Ebay and paypal have a new policy as they randomly select accounts newer than 6 months( this is the case of the seller) or accounts with bad feedbacks....mine is 100%..

Now the money are being held by pay pal til the package is being shipped and confirmed. Funds will be available three days after delivery...or if I leave positive feedback before I get the laptop which IMO is dumb..

He doesnt wanna send the laptop as he cant have the money right away and I dont wanna leave + feedback before I see the laptop..

I want to find how can I get my money back from paypal as I dont like to deal with someone who threatened me via phone...

This kids - is why I don't buy anytihng >$200 on ebay ... unless the feedback is like 5000+ (evne then it's <$500).
