I have been Sober for 4 weeks tonight>

Yeah it does. I don't want to have missed out on anything because I was drunk. Whether it's calming her down from crying, changing a poopy diaper, anything. It's still hard for me. The habitual part of it makes me so annoyed and angry sometimes. That passes and I feel a bit better. It just feels like as soon as I get done with work, I'm on edge for the rest of the day. Even if I work out until I'm sick, I get this anxious energy and feel like I could punch someone's face so hard my hand would break through the back of their head.

ahhhhh, welcome to LIFE! Learning to deal with shit sober is a MF'er isn't it! And now you can't act like a complete asshole, someone is depending on you NOT to. and there's consequences if you do, which is certainly different.

You'll learn new ways to cope, in time. but until then, you have business to attend to, whether it's changing time or feeding, your da man! But you get the awsome title for all that, Daddy. It more than makes up for it.

Never try to swalow too much at any time, take time out for yourself when you can, eat well, and get plenty of rest when she's asleep. You don't want to be tired if you can help it.

You don't have to stop drinking forever, just for today. Tomorrow's not here yet, so don't worry about then. It's just for this afternoon, you can hold off till tonight, etc.

Your a good man, you can do it.

^5! way to go, Ricco! < rhymes

I think that you would agree with this, we keep talking in days, months, and sometimes years. It's really just one, after one, after one, then another day, infinity. It can and often is a shorter period, 5 minutes, HELL sometimes one! But my point is it's just as the saying goes, "one day at a time"...

Therefore, who is the person with the longest sobriety?
The person who woke up first today.
So true.
After awhile those minutes add up and one day you wake up and it's a year. And then so on, and so on.......
Early sobriety can be tough and a test, but it will work.
Arabian: if you have any questions (or anybody), please PM me. I'm more then happy to help.

In addition to my other posts.
Jnev, be patient with your SO, and the people around you. You'll have to learn what she is like when your sober and vice versa, especially for extended periods of time. We have to re-learn who the other one is, almost like yall just met. We're not the same people. There will be differences, some big- most small, but all the personalities change to some degree.

There's alot of changes in your world right now, just try and roll with the flow...... deep breaths, hold your tongue, and smile when you may not feel like smilin'. Just till things settle down......
