i hate riding the bus

the campus has 2 parts, upper and lower. lower campus is where all classes are held except for PE classes. the upper campus has all the athletic feilds and a bunch of student housing.

if you've got less than 60 credits, you're only allowed to park on the upper campus. the one road between the upper and lower campus is pretty busy, and pretty dangerous to cross. don't know for certain, but i've heard that students in the past have been hit by cars trying to cross that road.

so to keep us from going across that road, they have shuttle buses that pick up at a few points on the upper campus and drop off at one point on the lower campus.

i hate these buses.

i pulled into the parking lot at 8:50. running a few minutes late, but oh well. as i'm walking across the parking lot, there's a bus coming. dude HAD to of seen me, but just rolled on by the lot anyway. probably the one prick that if you're not standing at the actual bus stop, he'll stare at you as he drives off. couple of the other drivers are cool and if they can see you, they'll wait unless there's another bus coming up right behind them, in which case you still get on a bus.

so i have a 9:00 class, and i figure, ok, i'll be like 2 minutes late, cause another bus will come through within 5 minutes. no biggie.

14 minutes later, bus shows up.

skipped class cause i didn't get off the bus on the lower campus until almost 9:10. i fuckin hate the buses.

actually, i guess i'm too retarded to ride the short bus, cause that was the one that left me there this morning. one of the big buses came to pick me up.


Y - only time i've had to use public transportation was when i was in camp pendleton for a few months. since i was in school, we weren't allowed to have cars. only way to get out into town was walk or bus, and i wasn't walking 3 miles to get into town.

Sundays were cool though. me and a buddy would go out into town, get our hair cut, maybe pick up a CD or two, then go to a pizza place called Spanky's that made some kick ass thick crust pizza. Spanky's had a 28" round pizza. you could feed 5 people and still have a few pieces left over. good stuff.
