So like 8 months ago I lend a pal of mine who was in a tight spot 3k but told him I need it back I had it set aside for some bills I had coming..."ya ya ok ok ok"

Well....I have been begging him for it back...any of it!

I am screwed now because my 2 dogs are going blind and one deaf...I go to the vet and leave with a 600 dollar bill. I just had to get new tires...800....I had to pay a research fee for college to finish my Ph.D. 600...

This guys gives me nothing but sob stories. I set him up with a 70 k a year job...

He turns it down.

I have not seen a dime. I am off the charts. I help him out to stop him from losing his house because he has a wife and kids and it gets shoved right up my ass and now I am suffering.

FML!

and F people!

I am a nice guy and work my AZZ off and would help anyone and this always happens to me. :mad:

At least not unless you're prepared to not get it back. I gift money from time to time and if it's returned, great, if not, no biggie. Won't do it unless that's the case.
 
That's FUBAR dude should have had the respect to own up to his word. You two specifically set up the standards and agreed you would need it back. It was a loan not a gift. I'd take him to small claims court an also sue for court costs.

I actually knocked a guy on his ass for owing me 1g. I asked him on a friday if he had the money yet and got a "sorry, I'm flat broke" reply and was like alright no big deal.... then Saturday a mutual friend called me up and said he saw him out buying about $700-$800 worth of fishing gear for a trip he was taking. I lost it. Went to his home he admitted it and didnt see anything wrong with it, so I knocked him on his ass in his own house. His exact words were that he had money saved up for the trip but had to borrow money from me to pay his bills. He decided to pay me out of his "trip money" after that.

I dont give out shit to help people anymore. If its not immediate family then f em.....

Keep an eye on him bro. Through facebook or whatever and see if hes taking any trips or shit. Go collect if you need to.
 
Should've gave him some kind of job to "earn" the money so u wouldn't expect it back. If u couldn't afford the pay him the whole 3k, anything was better than what he had.
 
Gotta get that kind of stuff in writing if you are going to do it.
 
Nah, there was a day and time when a man's word was his word...even between strangers. This guy was my friend....

Society is not the same any more. I stick to typing here at Elite and like everyone a hell of a lot better than the "real" people around me.

At least here people will step up.....

I.E. Nathan, RADAR., HURRICANE, Lord, Nightmare...

all these bro's have helped me and me them and we continue to do so and if one of them says something it is going to happen..good or bad..lol.
 
Hard to say no when friends ask for some help.....
Problem is its somtimes expensive finding out who your real friends are!
 
Yeah sucks when that happens. Like others have said, I wouldn't have loaned out money you need. I learned when I paid my cousins fine to keep his ass from jail. Now I wish I would have let him sit for a while.

Yup. It always seems to be that the people who need to ask for money are the ones who make it like pulling teeth to ever get it paid back.
