I've had a cop bluff me before.

"Can we search your car?"

"Um, no."

"Well we'll just have to get the K9 unit down here then"

10 minutes later, sitting in my car

"It's your lucky day, the K9 unit is busy"

Fucker was trying to bluff me, called him on it, drove off.
They test you in these situations, don't ever be afraid of a cop, don't forget your rights.

That is when I would go, "Look I am a hypoglemic (true) and my blood sugar is a little low, so sorry if I seem a bit irritated, so please lets either make this quick so I can get home and grab a bite to eat or you need to buy me a chicken sandwich over at Chick-fil-a/ whataburger (whatever is close) as I accidently left my debit card on my bar when I left for the gym."

that wouldnt fly. they'd at least make you wait longer. then they'd probably ask a bunch of questions about your illness and look up your doctor records to see if you were lying to them.

haha, i got pulled over one day in mid afternoon on one of my off-days from work. I had gone to the gym and DESTROYED my arms. I was also on clen at the time. Well that day, I had forgot to take my Taurine and my foot was crampin up so god damn bad on the way home from the gym... and my arms were soooo dead. I was swervin all over the road and speedin up and slowin down due to the foot cramps lol.

Once he realized I wasnt shitfaced and I told him I had just left the gym and my arms were so dead I could barely turn the wheel he chuckled and wished me a safe drive home :jenscat
But you were still under the influence of a drug that inhibited your ability to drive.

I've never been pulled over, or gotton a ticket.

But I'm young, I got time...

I agree...

Btw Biteme, they have to have reason to pull you over.Obviously you did some thing wrong.Whether it be taillight out, speeding, or go over marked lanes....they cannot pull you over just to ask where you are going and to see if you are drunk! So what did ya do wrong?

He said the border around my license plate was obscuring the plate. I checked and do not agree. I think he was just looking to catch a drunk since it was past 2 am on a Friday night.

i love how all of you are talkin shit about what you did and said to that stupid cop! Truth is you were shittin youselves and pleading like little girls for him to let you go. A cop can ask any question he wants and if you poeple dont know you have a right to remain silent then who are the idiots. Poeple especially criminals give certain clue under normal questioning that the "stupid" cops pick up on and leads to bigger and better questions and maybe if reasonable suspision is present a search can result in which criminal activity is discovered. One of the 911 terrorist was stopped by a maryland state Trooper 2 days before the attack. Maybe that guy could have been detained if more questions were asked. Take Timothy Mcviegh, caught by a Trooper stopping him for a traffic violation. Along your line of thinking, that stupid cop should have just wrote him a ticket and had him on his way. Nice! Grow up!

I'm for catching criminals, but not if it involves interrogating everyone who gets pulled over for a regular traffic stop. And yes I consider it interrogation when they ask me questions like that. Even if they are just trying to be friendly, a traffic stop is not the place to ask that stuff.
And besides, we all know that 99% of the time they are asking those questions incase you did something wrong, so that they can bust you.

What if I'm on my way out to a strip club, or a star wars convention, or if my parents pissed me off so i just wanted to leave and drive around? None of that is the officer's business! They are a stranger asking me unnecessary questions.

I dont walk up to strangers at a gas station and ask them with a suspicious tone: who are you, what are you doing out at 2am, where did you come from, where are you going, how many are riding with you, etc?

That would be disrespectful to do that to someone at a gas station, if I'm not a police officer. But if its a police officer and they pull you over cuz your tail light is out, all of a sudden its okay for them to interrogate you like that? yeah right!
