I got in a car accident.

I was merging onto the highway and the car in front of me stopped to yield. I had to stop behind him and a lady in a big honkin SUV slammed into me from behind. Darn it. First new car I've ever had and some lady squishes me. We were cordial about the whole thing, though, and she is insured. My car isn't too wrecked. I was just happy that no one got hurt. The cop said that it was clearly her fault (he saw it). It just really startled me.

we got rearended on the CDE last Easter in bumper to bumper traffic and it still jarred the hell out of my brain. i had an instant headache. it's the kinda thing that makes you go "fuck@!!" even thought there's kids in the car

Yeah, this chick didn't want to pull over at first. I could tell she was waiting to see if I would. She got out of her SUV saying, "there's no damage. There's no damage." lol. Yeah, there was no damage to her big Earth Destroyer 3000 or whatever kind of monstrous SUV she was driving...lol. Anyway, I pointed out my damage and a cop came right behind us, so it was cool. It didn't jar me much. I had come to a complete stop but was just hitting the gas to go again when she hit me. So, I think the fact that I had begun moving a little helped absorb the impact.

Me too. First thing that I did was rub all over my belly bump. Baby didn't touch a thing. I had my seatbelt on. ;)

Yeah I agree. I would have forced myself into labor and prayed my water broke right on his shoes :)

nah, I wasn't hit very hard. I can tell that the baby is fine. He is his normal, active, strong self. :)

Poor lil guy has already lost a few brain cells before he gets out of the gate...not to mention the ones he loses every time you read EF. :)

I'm glad you're okay! I've been hit in the ass many times. I'm always nervous when coming to a stop and cars are barreling behind me.

Minimum assured clear distance....you rear end someone and you'll always get cited...just ask Pick3...
 
i'm glad you're ok too. (i'd be an aweful person if i wasn't)

that sucks about the car.
 
glad you ok; maybe dont' drive for till you have your baby? I dont know I'm a nervous type about that stuff.
