i feel small man...what to do?

ok so i started out 6'0 225 17%bf and although i was a fat ass i felt like a pretty muscular guy...well ive been dietin for weeks now and im getting down there...im 214 at the moment about 10% bf...but i feel really small unless im in the gym and get a pump, then i feel good...my trainer/nutritioist says ill be at 200 when my final stage is complete..if i feel small at 214 i cant imagine 200...well ive read several comments by people on thi board to lose the fat first, get really lean and then try and gain muscle..i guess the theory is you would stay leaner during your bulking phase....i never really knew wat i wanted because ive never seen my body really lean but now seeing it getting there i will for sure want to gain muscle mass...i guess there wasnt as much muscle there as i thought, lol.....what do yo guys think? should i ride out my program now, get ripped up then gain during the winter?? any advice is appreciated

A year ago I shrunk down from 195lbs with some meat and fat on me to 178 at 9% bodyfat! I hated how I had a beach body loook.

1 year later I'm at 10% bodyfat and 210+lbs and very happy with how I look since it's all muscle gains.

When you are lean, you can see the actual muscle gains and it's very rewarding. Plus you get the striations and vascularity to go along with it.
 
conan good point...see right now im at the stage were im not looking ripped but nor big either so im like wtf!! im sure as i start loosing more bf ill be liking it and your right it would ne nice to see the muscles growing unlike when your bf is high and all looks likea big blob

It's common to feel small when you start losing bodyfat, don't be discouraged, it's just psychological. :)
 
Even if it means carrying a little extra fat, I always like being bigger -- AS LONG AS I'M IN CLOTHES! lol. But naked, I think it's best to err on the side of smaller and cut as opposed to a little bigger and smooth. It's healthier, women find it more attractive and abs are cool. : ) And you can always eat more. :RADAR
 
I personally feel better being lighter and cut. Even though I'm definitely smaller than what I have been in the past I give the illusion that I'm really not that much smaller. Plus like NM said the ladies love the cut look.

i feel like my head is to big for my body..i look retarded i think..i been 214 at 10% now im 196-198at lil high bodyfat..thaks to being broke and couldnt afford to eat food... i feel like twig...
i quit dieting now...im going back to bulking..fuck the dumb shit
 
i say put the muscle you want on first then cut when you have something to show.
 
I was pretty over weight. I started/changed my workouts and went from 240+ ?BF to 192 and 8%, I am 6'1". Then I started to gain lean mass. Its been several years now and I am 220+ @ 9-10%BF. I think its the way to grow for us older guys especially.
 
No shit! Ever been to a water park? Damn that is a high cholesteral/heart failure group if I ever saw one. I was the leanest person there. They all looked at me like I was the weird one!

I feel ya bro. I'm in the same boat. I discovered that when you hit in the 7% range things start to change. You get to losing size but the veins and muscle definition starts showing up and actually makes others think your bigger. People were thinking in my avatar thaat I was about 260lbs. I'm only 222 right now. I started at 255. Deal with the mind fuck right now nd I guarentee when you hit 7% your going to truly get motivated to keep it up. Then when you do go back up,(bulk clean) your gonna look huge!
 
i go to therapy cuz i cant ever be big enuf, i used to be 6' 180lbs and now im at 255lbs and i feel the same and still feel too small. its the worst
