Well I had a business meeting today so I had the afternoon off. I was going to go for a bike ride but hubby surprised me and asked me to join the gym again. So that's what I did... I joined my old gym. Even if I can get my mother to come over and baby sit twice a week and go when I work nights, it's better then nothing. It's been TWO YEARS and ONE MONTH since I've stepped foot in a gym. It was wonderful and horrible at the same time. I loved being there but I hated ALL of those blasted mirrors, but all in due time I will get all of my definition back. I am very excited :D I worked lower back, chest and upper back (not too much) just to kind of get a feel.... I am weak, all of my weights were at least 10-20lbs lower then my normal reps but it's something to work towards. :heart:

It is the first step into the right direction..Just wait until you start noticing the differences in your strength and looks!
 
Awesome! Congratz, I just came back to the gym too, it's hard and it kinda hurts at the begining, the worst part for me is feeling weak snd starting over, I wanted to pick up where I left off 2 months ago but my instructor wouldnt let me :( I'm glad he didnt because with light weight I fell all sore, with my old weight I'd be horribly in pain....
 
I feel really good today. I've always pushed my muscles and never had any "I can't move" soreness unless something ELSE hurt in the process.... like bike riding,etc.... Sometimes I am glad I live in the middle of nowhere. My ego is sensitive and I don't need to be walking around the gym with a bunch of hot little cuties, LOL. Thanks for the replies, it means a lot :)

Angel, I am looking forward to that. It's like once you start seeing definition while you work out... it just pushes you and pushes you. It's definitely a mood booster as well! :)
 
It's going :) Going to the gym anywhere between 2-4 days a week. I am kind of eager to find my strength so I have been maxing a bit which I do not plan to do long term. My biceps are very weak (50lbs, 12.x 3 free curl) and my quads (flex @ 90lbs. 10 x 3).... everything else is pretty much where it was 2 years ago although my adductors were at 12x3 @ 130lbs and abductors 12x3 @ 110lbs. I want to lean out not bulk up so I am trying to feel for my happy medium. There was a girl at the gym yesterday... cute little thing but quite sad.... she was fiddling with universal equipment and everything she touched she kept at the lowest weight... 5-10lbs... jeez, why waste your money at the gym.... I can hand her 2 snapple bottles and save her the money. ;) I had forgotten why I dislike commercial gyms though.... I had my eye full of butts hanging out of shorts (which is totally cool on a BBer.... but just a gym whore... no thanks).
 
Good, thanks for asking hon :) Working nights this week which means 4 straight days of gym time, I am actually excited :D
 
lol, there´s a girl like that at the gym, couple of dudes at the gym call her "attention whore" because she is thin and pretty but she works out in like panty/boxers and a micro top and she never changes, she actually walks like 2 miles to the gym wearing just that :o the sad part is she can never work out right becuase is always checkin if her thong or butt crack is showing...
