I crossed the 300lb. bench line!

I had an amazing day at the gym today.

Flat bench.
warmup with 135 for 10
225 for 3
245 for 3
255 for 2
275 for 2
285 for 1
295 for 1 NEW PR!!
305 for 1 NEW PR!!!!
305 went up slowly, but I figured I'd give 315 a try. No guts, no glory, right? But alas, it did not go up. Almost though. Failure was around the first 1/3 of the ROM, but it felt alright during the last 2/3 during lockout. Oh well. 3 plates will come soon.

Incline db press
80s for 10
85s for 8

Dips
bodyweight for 50
22, 14, 8, 6

Some slow, light calf work
Standing calf raises
60 for 15
60 for 15
50 for 15

I'm tellin ya, nothing, and I mean nothing, feels better than setting a new record. As a side note, my goal was to put up 295 by the end of this month. Guess I lucked out.
 
those 3 plates are gonna sound SWEET rattling around as you rep it out soon....nice barrier break!

yea dude!!! breaking your own record fells better than sex, well with an ugly girl at least :)
I'm gonna max out really soon and am hoping for 250+, then my goal for end of christmas break is 300lbs!!!
 
Great job try taking bigger jumps next time, you may have burned yourself out with the 10 lb late jumps
