Hell yeah.. they are bad. I had one friend die last year, and know plenty others with a problem. Hard to believe Doctors and can just hand this stuff out like they do. They aren't banning shit.

A few years ago CMS zeroed the code for cold therapy devices (took reimbursement to $0), which were key to limiting post-operative narcotic use.
Now they've got a greatly expanded drug problem. Who would have thought???
So their solution? Start trying to ban the drugs through FDA.
But this isn't the exception, it's the rule. Picture our government-run (which it is) health care system like an old tire. We just keep putting patches on it everywhere because no sooner than we "fix" (which we never truly fix) something, three new holes pop up.
