Hushmail security question?

Hey everyone!

I've been out the loop for a while so that's why I'm asking such a late question.

About a year or so ago this board had warned that Hushmail had started to co-operate with LE, I thought I would throw this out there to the masses here and see if anyone knows for sure.

Absolutely no offense to anyone I may have asked personally, not that I don't trust you, this is just to be absolutely sure.

Also if possible, please comment on any other means of secure mail that is known to be secure or not, like I said I've been out of the loop for a while and would like to be up 2 par on this subject.

If we can not discuss this issue then I apologize and consider the subject closed!

As someone who works in the IT field (IBM) I can assure you that it would be nieve to think that anything you do on the net is safe!

If someone wants to know what you do bad enough they will gain access to whatever they want.

Agreed, but aren't such sites or means of communication privy to a certain degree of privacy. I can understand if u were under investigation 4 something grave but other than that that's why these sites began in the first place. Just a thought.

the incident in question was when hushmail handed over discs on one individual. and the issue was that he didnt ever activate the java applet while msending and recieving. thats what i read.

Bro, Big Brother is always watching. It's really that simple. Do you not think that the CIA, FBI, NCIS, CSIS, ATF, etc. etc. cannot garner access to what ever they want? When ever they want. All hushmail and the like can do is encyrpt your email etc. so that when you send it cannot be easily hacked (for lack of a better work).

Let me make this perfectly clear. If the Feds. from either Canuckistan or the US march into the ISP or what have you for hushmail and start demaning information, I assure you that they will get it.

With all due respect, it's not up to anyone here to explain the Patriot Act to you...

However, long and short of it is: They can do whatever the **** they want!! Hold you for as long as they want, no laywer, no charges, no real evidence. Charter of rights and freedoms does not apply.

Lucky for you and me we both live in Canada where it certainly is a little more relaxed in regards to gear and weed

For the most part the feds aren't interested in the little guy anyways....

And for all the hype and hoop law regarding gear, even in the states they aren't going to do too much about it!

We the people pay a considerable amount of money on tickets and merchandise to see people reach their genetic potential and excel in many sports.

Imagine a 200lbs linebacker... lol Not going to be too exciting watching football like that is it.
