I'll be on the south side of the hurricane so it shouldn't be too bad here. Supposedly we will have 50 mph winds.

I was going to have my house reroofed this week but made the roofer wait until Isabel passed. In preparation, I bought 160 sheets of plywood and shingles fearing there would be a shortage. Plywood has risen in price to about 17.95 a sheet but I got mine for 11.95 a sheet. I will have some plywood left over but I can probably sell it at a slight profit because there seems to be a shortage of it around here.

I went through Hurricane Hugo in 1989 and it was pretty bad here. We had winds in excess of 100 mph here and everybody suffered a lot of damage.

I hope everybody north of me comes out alright.

I'm in RDU. I just watched a tree limb fall on a co-workers car. It's raining cats and dogs. The power just went out a few minutes ago. Generators are roaring. We never close.

school got cancelled for today and tommorrow as well... shit is getting vicious here (mad wind, but not so much rain... i've got a tree right outside my window flying around insanely, bout to break any minute).
