Hurricane Isabella anyone?

BTW, anyone else see home depots stock go up yesterday in anticipation of the sales increase from isabella? Kinda fk'd up lol.

supposed to hit me pretty soon.. every other school in this area has already cancelled, our state has a state of emergency, yet MY gayass school refuses to close. and i have a paper due toommorrow that could have been avoided if the administrators didnt have a stick up their ass about never shutting down the university. i hate my life.

I'll be on the south side of the hurricane so it shouldn't be too bad here. Supposedly we will have 50 mph winds.

I was going to have my house reroofed this week but made the roofer wait until Isabel passed. In preparation, I bought 160 sheets of plywood and shingles fearing there would be a shortage. Plywood has risen in price to about 17.95 a sheet but I got mine for 11.95 a sheet. I will have some plywood left over but I can probably sell it at a slight profit because there seems to be a shortage of it around here.

I went through Hurricane Hugo in 1989 and it was pretty bad here. We had winds in excess of 100 mph here and everybody suffered a lot of damage.

I hope everybody north of me comes out alright.

My roommate has a house on hiltonhead w/ retractable titanium storm shutters. I'm still impressed by those. 150mph would put even them to the test though.

It has been very nice here in the western and southern parts of SC. All we are going to get is some wind, and clouds, but no rain.

It's only supose to rain here with perhaps some moderate winds.

So nothing big considering the whole summer has been like that.
