Humalog...out of fridge?

Had to move cross coutry and kept my Humalog out of the fridge for about 6 days. Kept it in the dark and away from any heat but it was not refridgerated...Will it still be alright or should I just get another.

BTW I just started using insulin about 8 weeks ago and man I tell you after years of using AAS, Insulin is in a class of it's own... Big bump for Humalog

I believe on my box of insulin that I got it said it can be kept out of refridgeration for 28 days as long as it's out of light/heat

From what I hear you can keep slin un-refrigerated for up to 28 days...Can you please explain how you are running your humalog im very interested about it. Also have you been running it for 8 weeks straight?

This is good to hear.

I haven't ran the insulin in about 3 or 4 weeks now but I only took it on the days I train ( mon./tues./thurs./fri.) started with 2 iu's directly after training, and incresed it by 1 iu every three workouts until I hit 5 and stayed at that for the entire 8 weeks.
Directly after the insulin I would drink a shake containing 75 Grams of Dextrose, 60 gms of Whey Isolate, and 80 grams of Maltodextrin. 1hour following that I eat 8oz of redmeat and 1.5 cups of brown rice
You grow and you see it, after I train I usually keep my pump for about 45 minutes, when I used the insulin I would keep it for well over an hour or 2. It is good stuff if you do it correctly I never wanted to use the stuff but F that Humalog is the way to go if you can stomach all the dextrose after it and eat a little later, you will grow.

I have been taking insulin for 21 years and I have kept mine out of the fridge for far more than 28 days and never had a problem and my body depends on it since I am diabetic. - cbeaks

Yes 28 days is the rule. Also, an olld trick if you really want to tell if your slin is good. Squirt a tiny amount on the back of your hand. If it smells like a "band aid" its good to go.

Humalog can be kept out of the refrig. if it is at room temp (86 degrees F) or less for up to 4 weeks (28 days). Higher temps and longer than 28 days non-refrig. caused the insulin to decrease in it potency.
