Does anyone remember when this was posted I think about a year ago? Basically you went to the website if you had purchased a cd between like 1997 and 2000ish because some record companies had illegally jacked up the prices. You entered your name and address on the website...no proof of purchase or anything required. I checked my mail this week and found a letter from the CD MAP Antitrust Litigation and a check for $13.86. Financial freedom at last. I fell to my knees and cried when I saw the check, immediately thanking Jesus Christ, Mel Gibson and the old lady who dumped her 64oz soda on that devil guy. Also Scott Baio. I was wondering if anyone else had gotten their check yet.

Got my check. And so did half a dozen other people at work who I told to sign up.

Almost enough for another NEW cd.

yup...i feel bad because 1997 was probably the last time i bought a cd, but oh well. my cats gotta eat. i wonder what the total payout ended up being.

Before or after lawyer fees? Figure at least 33% went to the lawyers (if not more) and some amount to taxes and the government. We should have received $13.86 for every CD bought - that would have been huge.
