How "Progressive" is Progressive Insurance really?

Progressive pays us $42 a hour
State Farm pays us $56 a hour

If your car is more than three years old progressive only puts on used or after market panels (hood, door, trunk, ect)

State Farm puts on brand new OEM panels for up to eight years old.

Yep! Progressive hates using OEM or even LKQ parts. They love aftermarket, whereas any other insurance company pretty much has a no aftermarket use policy.

Just be glad you don't live in FL, the laws regarding auto insurance there are just unbelievably fucked. They have one of the densest attorney bases per capita of any state, most of which are personal injury lawyers.

I feel bad every time we total a progressive car. Progressive does not go by Kelly Blue Book or NADA. They have there own "what your car is worth" price. People get made at what they get, they can never come close to replacing there car with it. They get screwed....

My Hummer was stolen a couple years ago and State Farm wrote me a check for full retail. If I has progressive they would have gave me about $7,000 less.

I had progressive and my car got totaled by some sorority girl running into me. They gave me well above blue book for my car.

Body shops are a fucken ripoff too. Pay some retard to do half-assed work. Yes, all of them are like this.

They did that to avoid getting sewed. They do not take care of there own customers that way. Not ALL body shops are like that. Sounds like you had a bad experience, and now your judging all of them. A lot of them do a bad job, but a lot of them do great work.

why did your insurance pay you for another driver running into you? Wasn't it her fault? Was she insured?

I have progressive for both car and truck, had a motorcycle which was 150/year, and home, it's only 300/year and some change for each vehicle. But that's not for full coverage.

all insurance is a scam.. well maybe not a scam but at the very least a very shitty investment.

the money you put in you rarely ever get back anyway, so might as well pay as little as possible into it. I have paid on average 1500 a year on the 4 properties i've owned for 10 years. do the math. the only time i ever got money back was to repair a roof for 10K, 1K deductible out of my pocket plus depreciation and a lot of headaches and phone calls. which was a stroke of luck that the adjustor was a dingbat and the roofer convinced him that the entire roof needed repair and not just the 2 leaks. and even with that I'm still in the hole thousands money i put in vs. money i got back. 60K put in .. 10K back. it was a teenie insurance company that paid me btw..

same with car insurance.. been paying since i was 16 on average between 2-3K a year .. never once filed a claim..

so get the cheapest insurance you can get and over the course of your life you will save money. state farm and allstate are the biggest scoundrels of all. they over charge and they aren't that much better than the cheaper insurance companies. in fact in FL allstate was banned from writing policies because they weren't paying out.. they can RENEW, but they no long can write new policies ... so they went and started up other insurance companies ROYAL palm for example. same goons though run the ship, i used them and they kept billing me on a home i sold, and i told them to cancel and refund me my premium.. they claimed i never had a policy with them. so i drove to the allstate agent and handed the bitch the original check that they cashed plus all my documents and finally they cancelled it. they do their best to screw the customer as best they can. so defend these goons all you want and keep throwing your money away.
