I did a controlled Mass phase for about 3 months, ( good results )
Especially Considering I got hit head on by a car just before that and LIVED.
I had less Core strength on account of the accident when I did the Mass phase but still did well.

I have taken a strategic break where I go to the gym alot LESS ( just to maintain) and RUN more.

Running out side is really Something.....

I had really forgotten how much better it is then the Tread Mill.......

Just wanted to remind you guys that its hard the first 2 weeks but then you get used to it........really try it again if you used to do it.

I don't run at all. I bike; the scenery is better.

i ran today, its urban houston area so i have to dodge traffic crossing streets and shit but its a good 4 mile route i run.

i just got into jogging in the past few weeks and i ALWAYS do my running outdoors. the treadmill drives me crazy plus i like the whole atmosphere better outside than i do indoors. :)

i got a treadmill in my apartment .. i aint into runnin outdoors

I like running on Saturday mornings the most.

Before I snapped my ankle way back in the day I would run outdoors almost every day. It is very therapeutic. I love running in adverse weather. Snowstorms are awesome. Also, up in Virginia running by the beach any time of the year is orgasmic, especially at night.

Right now I run 3 times per week very short distance though - not more than 5 miles. I never run on a treadmill anymore.

I run on the beach and I love it..... the sand is packed down so its just like running on the road...

I like it in the winter on a clear night. The cold is unbearable and there is something so poignant about the ocean in the winter at night. Maybe that is what death will feel like and I fight it every time I am out there running.

Running is a spiritual event for me.

Since living down here in the hot humid south? Hardly ever.. I used to do all my running outside when I lived up north though.

95% of my cardio is outside right now.

I am accruing a huge pile of magazines to read as this is usually one of my X-trainer/bike/treadmill activities.

If I start running outdoors now in the morning, it is quite easy to keep it up all winter.

I like running up in the Scottish hills 2-3 times a week, the isolation & scenery is great motivation.
Nice! During my youth I did a lot of fell running, rock climbing and camping in Scotland. It was my family’s annual home holiday destination, many fond memories of endless rain, swarms of midges, sweaty cheese sandwiches, kendal mint cake and village pubs. Agreed the scenery is stunning, happy times.

I should run outside. its quite beautiful to run along the boardwalk or beach here, and its right in my backyard.

but i hate running. i hate running on a treadmill worse because i feel like a fuckin hampster. so i just play basketball

can work on my tan, improve my game, have fun and do cardio all at once

Fortunately I'm less than a mile from the hills. It's absolutely great whether it's sunny or pissing down with rain (visibility reduced to <100m, adds to the isolation & fun. Other than having to concentrate more on your footing, you really don't want a twisted ankle or worse that far from any help, heh).

Likewise, fucking hate getting eaten alive by those damn midges :D

Posing in hawt pics on the beach is not cardio...but we'll enjoy the pics anyway!

I have 2x Asics (one are katanos) and one pair of new balance, then I rotate my running shoes, and ONLY wear them for running until they have done their time (about one year with three pairs).

I get them from running shops that have treadmills where they tape your running or make you run outside and watch you.

Good running shoes and a good sports bra have always been essentials to me, even more than makeup (not perfume though).

:)

I would run with you, but as you are a foot taller than I am so your stride would be so much longer, but hopefully as you weigh twice my weight, it might slow you down a bit.

:jump:

i wish i could run outside without being paranoid

i've tried unless its daylight out I'm scared and I live in a decent neighborhood.

No I dont blame you

i go on a trail and even I get wierded out sometimes

go with your husband good bro:)

well I aint skinny

it take 2-3 weeks to adapt good bro

also DO NOT go ED wait till connective tissue adapts

I used to run 30 to 40 miles a week growing up in midwest, apparently genetically not made to run, maybe climb rainforest trees? lol, but after peroneal nerve damage to left leg 4 years ago, can't run over 3 miles without left leg going numb, so I don't even bother, and just elliptical... miss the huge endorphin rush though and went through runners depression bad, studies show outdoor running there is twice as much endorphin release when compared to treadmill... definitely miss the huge well being feeling, after a mid/long run.
