How often do you look at your body?

I notice lately that I look at my body in the mirror A LOT, and step on the scale a few times a day. This has been driving me crazy and I have been like this for over 2years now.

Every time I gain 2lbs I worry I gained fat, then when I lose weight I feel like I lost muscle and keep having the yo-yo effect.

Within a month I am going to plan and not look at my body for 2-3whole months and never step on the scale, cause this is just getting way too riddiculous I sound like a girl. :(

I think it is a fine line between looking at your body constantly in order to gauge the effectiveness of whatever you are doing (diet, lifting, water, running, whatever) and becoming obsessed. I look at my body a lot because I am amazed at how I am transforming it and it feels good to actually have visual results to my hard work and effort. taking 3 months off from looking in the mirror may not be the answer. maybe just tell yourself that u are going to look at your body once in the morning and once at night for a while.

With me, it is all obsession. At least 20-30times I look at it everyday. This is getting sick.

I have to get myself together and not look at it for at least 2months.

I do it once a week, but I examine evetry square inch of flesh to make sure every last bit of me is absolutely perfect.

Something I do to gauge progress is keep at least an undershirt on whenever I am in front of a mirror. That way, I cannot see the full extent of my change for an extended period of time, and when I finally reveal it, I can perceive it, which is often a problem when you look obsessively for improvement.
