I don't care for Christianity either. But let's stick to reality and historical facts.

Not from a website, I have 2 or 3 old books that all talk about the bad translation. It's been like 10 years since I've done any kind of research on the Bible history, but I beleive the mis-translation started when the Bible was translated from it's original latin into greek somewhere around 350 A.D. This was then carried into the King James version which eventually saw mass production and became widespread.

I admit I am not up to snuff on this whole subject, but I doubt several different books are wrong, unless this has been disproven in recent years.

What sources do you cite that prove I am wrong? What makes you an authority on the Bible? Not downplaying you, just want to know why I should believe you over books that I own...

Correct, as I understand it Jesus was in fact Jewish royalty, a king from a Jewish sect called the Nazarenes. The Nazarene way of life conflicted with the Roman way of life, and as Jesus became more popular and powerful he became a threat to the Roman empire. That is why they crucified him.
