I've always neglected lower body... In fact, I just recently started doing squats! I always do a 10/8/6 pyramid (upping weight each time) on upper body, but since just starting legs I do 12/10/8 reps for 3 sets. I did legs today... squats: 150/160/175...

Don't laugh. I'm still new to legs, I wish I hadn't neglected them this long. I then moved on to the leg presses on the sled and did 325 12x.... so I'm not TOO weak on those.

Hey, at least I'm honest. I'm trying to get my legs up before I post a pic, coz I know if I just posted upper body, ya'd get pissed :)

415 ATF powerlifting squat
465 parallel powerlifting squat
315 for 12-15 (depending on the day)
335 for 6-8
365 for 3

now these are real squats lower than parallel I ephasize this because very few people ever squat as low as me (not tooting my own horn just being honest)
If I want to load the bar up with 500+lbs and do half squats I can but what is the point?

I go parallel but thats as far as I go. My legs get very sore so theres no need for me to go deeper. I end up with 405 for 6-8 reps. If I rap my knees I can go heavier.

Are there any tall guys -say 5'11' and over that squat real deep?
There was an interesting article about squatting that said that tall guys aren't worse squatters as is commonly maintained , but that they have to go much further just to hit parallel- ie a shorter guy might squat 14" and be going below parallel, while a real tall guy might not even hit paralllel with a 14" movement, so that tall guys arent' worse squatters, but they are longer squattters.
I think the same sort of thing applies to the bench press. for some reason I don't think it affects the deadlift as much......

I weigh 160lbs and I've just started to squad 4 plates (220lbs inc bar) for 12 reps, this is the most I've ever squatted and has come following my 1st cycle strangely enough.

I am 6'3" and do deep squats..my best is 495 for 2 sets of 5 reps. I try to go just past parallel. My squat is good...don't ask about my bench...pathetic:bawling:

485 at 162 lbs. is my best pound for pound. I did 505 at 190. Those wre both in contests. After my recent surgery and hormone problem, well I'd rather not say what I'm lifting right now, but it makes me feel like blowing my head off with a shotgun.

To be honest I am just barely hitting parallel with my heavy squats- last workout I did 495 for 8 after two sets of BFT leg extensions. I am 6'3 with a long torso, so although I'm strong, I have to be careful with heavy squats. Infact until about 4 months ago I was unable to full squat -ass to heels-even with just the bar-due to poor ankle and knee flexibility which I have been trying to improve gradually. I have been working on my form and can now do this, so I am working on my form and squat depth, but prefer not to force it, but to let it come as it will.

I wouldn't I would think you were spending more time on your upper body to impress chicks more since nobody can ever see your legs anyway unless you where those gay speedo shorts and you ain't get any chicks with those on no matter how big you are. :D
