Probably been covered numreous times, but I'm interested to see what you folks put up...myself, in a raw and natty state, 410 deep as fuck @185...

My best has been 800 while visiting in St. Louis. Their squat coach said that I was about 1/2" high though...so who knows. I'd like to hit 1k in the next 2 years.

I've never competed in powerlifting and I actually don't find it very fun to train for...but I do try to push big numbers in the gym (as long as it doesn't overtrain me for my events).

I wore a VERY lose Inzer Hardcore poly suit (single layer) with a pair of double poly Crain briefs. I have to wear a belt to keep the briefs from falling off and the suit was made for someone 3" taller and 50-60 pounds heavier than I am. I'd like to try a GOOD fitting suit and pair of briefs.

I really think I could hit a mid 6 to low 7's raw squat...or maybe I'd have to wear knee wraps to do that...I dunno.

Mule1 (Mike Miller) recently squatted 1055 onto a box (harder than a free squat).

I went for a PB on my 52nd birthday of 550X7 Dec. i messed up my left kneecap after that and its still gives me trouble.

Was that last summer at Eagle????

Anyway...solid lift bro. :)

Personal best for myself was three years ago....hit 885 for a single @ 272....

Now I don't do more than 495 for reps.....the ol' knees just can't take the heavy lifts without an ACL. :)

Yep...it was at Eagle. I love that place but I'd end up getting in a fight with some of my friends there if I trained there. We are tooooo competitive in the gym. Can't wait to go back.

I'll be there competing May 8th and 9th...will I have the pleasure of meeting you?

best ever was a set of 6 of 190kg, but i think i was a little high. im the first to admit i have huge fear of squats, especially since my spotter (if i use one) is usually a monkey.

id pay in blood for a decent spotter for taht exercise

B-Fold, I can do more on a box than I can free standing...I think box squats are easier.

well consideering I haven't been able to train legs since last summer... i walked over and did 315 for a few reps just to try it out.... so hopefully i haven;t lost too much strnegth.

at 205 or so...

no more than 385 for 5 (and i guarantee you the form sucked)

leave me alone. im 21, tore my MCL, had 40% of my meniscus removed and an ACL reconstruction, and im lanky at 6'1.5'' or so.

:bawling: im a loser

Have not done a "regular" squat in ages. I've been hitting zercher squats. My PR is 405x1.

just hit 245 for 2 sets of 3 reps the other day,its not huge numbers considering im almost 200lbs,but its up about 45lbs since two months ago and I am cutting

You mean you can squat to a box that is 1-2" below parallel (fairly deep), pause, then come back up with more weight than you can free squat?

Pretty crazy. It is like being able to pause bench more than you can touch and go. I'm not sure I've ever heard of anyone else being like this.

I see my 185 for 6-8 is nothing special.

Any sort of personal best...is special man.

My personal bests over the years are(were): #315 X 25. 535 X 3. I never really tried to do a heavy single though, on any of the big 3. I always trained heavy sets of 3 reps.

B-fold, yeah bro I squat more on a box than a reg squat. The box I use is a milk crate with a piece of particle board, so that bitch is fairly low, well below parralel. I feel that I can get a wider stance with a box, which helps me with leverages. As well, the pause gives me achance to dig in and it helps me get back up. I b.squat about 430, roughly 15 more than normal. I need to get a good belt, wraps, and a suit...I feel my numbers could go up considerably...

I gotcha...I squat wide with a box and wide without. Well, with a torn hamstring I haven't been near as wide as I'd like to be squatting...but I'm getting there.

I don't think I've ever had more than 365 on a bar. I rep that for 8 routinely but I can't recall ever even trying a heavier weight.

this is a depressing fucking thread.

march 1st i did 405x6 for a 3rd set
acl surgery on march 2d
wednesday at physical therapy i squatted 10x at about 75 degrees with a 45lb bar

It's not depressing. You should only be competing with yourself in the gym. Besides, just having surgury does put a damper on your lifting. You'll be back to your norms in no time, just don't rush it.
