How much can you military press?

It is...usually I can only get 1-2 good sets...after that, its like...3 reps or something. I have no idea why that happens...sometimes I get 10-5-2 same weight.

DBs 60 lbs consistently for 3x8...these are more comfy for me but I'm probably cheating by arching my back

Cheating?
You mean preseve your back? :)

Arching your back during MP IS considered cheating.
Why?
It doesn't reduce the ROM

upper or lower?
when you stand straight up there is still some arch in the lower back
so I think it depends on what we are talking about as the 'back'

I think I've done a strict standing OHP with 275 or so...want 300 this year.

The lower back should be arched when doing OHP. You ever seen an OLY lifter do the Jerk?

that's what I'm saying
they may mean the upper back tho so as if you are trying to turn it into a standing Incline or something
that's an awsome OHP
my max is 205 but I am relativly new
I will probubly have a 250 max late this year or early next
I hope

I suck with a straight bar...I've came close to 350 with both a log and a 2 3/8" axle before.

damn you mofos are strong

i only do a standing dumbbell military press, and am up to 77lbs per hand for 6 reps. i can do the 88 per hand (im sure of it) but cant get the bastards up to my shoulders to start the movement...and i arch my back a little

ive neglected shoulders for a good 3 years (since i naturally have biggish shoulders without training them) but started training them a few weeks ago, and feel that im nowhere near a plateau, weighing in at 185ish at the moment (afternoon, fed weight)

why is it harder for you to use a bar?

No clue...it just doesn't feel natural in my hands. The thinner the bar...the worse I am at pressing it (to a point obviously).
