actually i think looks are important. they dont have to be drop dead gorgeous--actually preferably not---but they do have to be gorgeous in your eyes. its definitely not about the money for most women, though i have heard horror stories from male friends who went on a date and the woman wouldn't even get into his car because it wasnt good enough. i think its about making women feel special, safe, and able to trust you wholeheartedly. and you gotta make her laugh.

I wanted to see what was important to chicks to these days as far as a dude goes.

Second, for a friend of mine that parties way to much and is lonely and looking for a wife(but he is kind of thin so I don't any of the chicks here would go for him) but he is wealthy(drives a Viper) around 39 and has a good personality. I was hopeing to maybe hook him up with a nice chick instead of the bimbos he has gotten lately.

Not all are like that. Yes, I listed some pretty high standards on this thread. But I know for a fact that guy is not easy to get and can't be handed to me on a silver platter. And you know what, I used to simply take what I could get. I lowered my standards sometimes. That was the biggest mistake I ever made. So from now on, I'm guarding my heart and my love life. If a guy can't live up to those expectations, then he's not the right guy for me.

keep that guard up... that way you can never get hurt... but on the other hand you can never feel true love either... i love it when people say they have their gaurd up.... i wear my heart on my sleeve and i have been hurt and will prolly be hurt again... however... i will not regret trying...

I've always worn my heart on my sleeve. I still do in most ways. But I am trying my best to change that. I need to keep my guard up. That's the only way I will stop getting hurt. Maybe this is the coward's way out. Who knows? It's what is going to work for me until I have reason to see differently.
