I read this, and was like...damn, that's so true.

I've only been in one "relationship" where the girl actually expected something of me, and was genuinly upset and angry when I didn't live up to my potential.

I remember one time, I flunked a math mid-term. She busted my ass and really pissed me off for over an hour, then finally made me promise to get back on track with studying. I don't think I've ever felt so cared about in my life. She always pushed me to be better than I was, and that's about the best feeling in the world when it's coming from someone you care about.

Phat, babe, it's not just you. lol Everyone has the same problem. You deserve a guy who'll respect you and challenge you. He's out there...just keep your eyes peeled.

Toga pick me Actually I'm just focusing on myself right now after my currnet break up. Putting more time into me and work keeps me occupied. which is good. But sure enough right when I start to mind my own business I meet a really cool women last weekend. And of course that has to be the same time my ex-gf has to start calling to tell me her and her daughter miss me
I can honsestly say that most of the women I've met are not money oriented. I say that because they know I'm in the military and they still stick around. Meaning that they know I don't make loads of cash but i live comfortably.

Seriously though my priorites have changed as far as what I want in a relationship. my last relationship involved a woman and 7 yr old girl. So I came out of that one knowing that I can go clubbin one night and read bedtime stories to a little kid the next.
Rambling now but have to say it was a nice boost in confidence to go out last saturday night and meet the finest women who was in the club. Hell I was shocked when everyone was hitting on her all night then she ended up coming over to me to talk. the best part though was realizing how cool she was after talking to her all night. it only wednesday and tonigh will be our 2nd date. But damn if I don't feel guilty about not being with my ex and her daughter anymore. Is this normal are should I wait more before I start dating again. Damn I'm 29 but never seems to get any easier.
