Damn dude!! I forgot about the Pixies! Can't believe it. I havn't heard that name in years. There was definately great music in that scene!

Pixies were great. I am pretty sure Frank Black (I think that was the singer's name) is still around.

Of course man, I was there from the beginning, saw it all happen, Red is the one that built it with others and I heard them talking with the city to get a skatepark up and running. started out as nothing.
My good friend dropped in off the concrete about twenty five feet up towards the bridge he stepped his back leg off his board and dislocated his hip.
Yeah, Ive seen in several movies, sat in the same place as they did in the movie.
It was amazing watching it grow into what it is now. We used to go down there and drink beer before they built it. Ive been around there alot, havent for a long time now, but like I said I was there for the genesis of the park and knew the guys responsible for building it. Someone through a huge dildo down into the park when it first started and Red was skating around with that dildo sticking out of his shorts, we had that dildo for the longest ass time, it was hilarious. It was the dildo of the park. The good old days in the beginning. That was like when I was 17 when it all happened. Yeah, I can picture right now when it was just dirt and a couple of holes and shit.

At about the same time I worked security for Starry Night concert hall and worked the Pixies concert and met Black Francis in the small after concert party in the basement. Got stoned with Red Hot Chili peppers, we were in the small room with them and Mary's Danish stealing their coronas and puttin in our jackets and Anthony Kiedis said what the hell are you doing, then he passed us the pipe, I loved working concerts there b/c Id always meet them afterwards, it was a small concert hall.
