How many of you can still ollie?

I'd most likley snap the board in half if I tried it!

I did just buy my 10 year old daughter a board and I was still able to do a 360.

And no not in the air. lol.

Of course, I can ollie three feet high only I stick mainly to the concrete bowls and railslides, kickflips are basic. I was in shredder magazine in a couple of shots

j/k, I couldnt do crap, too tall I think, center of gravity was too high to skate, my best friend from Traverse City actually, he was in shredder and he was amazing. He knew everyone in the Portland scene and we'd go to the skate park the famous one under the burnside bridge and I was there when it started out from nothing and they worked to get the city to approve it, start out as just some holes in the ground, now its famous. Used to hang with some prosnowboarders for Burton too, dont even know if that company is still around, I havent boarded for a long time.

Within a day's practice I could ollie a small garbage can. Within a couple weeks a regular size one.

Also could do some basic 50-50 grinds np and nose wheelies.

But, I was hardcore into skating for about 2 years and hung out and skated with a sponsored skater for those 2 years I skated EVERY DAY for at least an hour and many times for hours. I've fallen at least a few thousand times.

I wasn't one of these posers I see all over the place walking with their skateboards who can barely ollie a curb lol.

lol! I was in a department store the other day ~(think walmart) in a suit with the gf and saw a skateboard in the aisle...like a trained dog I jumped on it and did an ollie...

weird the things you remember...

lol. I could probably still do it after a few days of practice. I used to be a big time skater punk. my friend and I were sponsored by a local shop when we were in highschool. I had a pretty mean kickflip and could do some pretty crazy grinds. but I could never jump stairs very well.

Damn man, I actually miss that shit - it was fun as hell. Just driving around and hopping out anywhere to rip it up. My last few boards were Zoo York's - good stuff. I had these obnoxious baby blue Etnies too. I remember jumping a curb once and hitting a small rock, which anyone who ever skated knows what that does to you - I fell backwards and my legs pushed the deck forward only to go flying through a store window. Good times.

lol.

I'll tell you another great thing about the skating scene - the music. That's how I first got turned onto a lot of good artists like Mobb Deep and the Pixies.

Damn dude!! I forgot about the Pixies! Can't believe it. I havn't heard that name in years. There was definately great music in that scene!
