I see him as the dood that might get one of my peeps killed. In BCT, I was conflicted with "ratboy" because he really tried but he was dangerous.

not at all.....I'm all for recognizing those who serve our country. They're all very brave. But there comes a time that you gotta stop worrying about hurting people's feelings, and start worry about people getting really hurt........

That was my point and it was in 1989......I wanted him to rise to the challenge but he was not a soldier. I was paired up with "ratboy" for the live fire combat rush part of basic training and I'm happy that I escaped without getting shot in the back.....

He's a National Guardsmen... Those poor bastards are reservists that no one keeps up on. The Army in gen. has lowered the standards, becuse everyone is getting out. Since they are the largest military they have to make exceptions. Especially, if you are serving in the middle east. Yes, the slow deer gets it...

I hate to see the military (Army) do stuff like this. It make more work for me, these poor bastards are in no condition to withstand the heat, I end up taking care of these guys because the Army won't... Not even my service I just feel sorry for them...

It's their fault they are like that, not their's that they are there.

Sorry, this is one of those things that truely pisses me off!!! These guys need to be screened before thy send them out... If you are going to send them out put them at a desk job, not out on the field where their buddy is going to be put in danger because they are too slow, or they go down and can't be dragged to cover. I can't say much more because I won't be able to stop...
