How is this for supplements??

hey i been doing a lot of reading on www.bodybuilding.com
I thought of starting to go on; HMB, ZMA, Protein, and maybe something else (Amplify02?) Doesn't cost much and they on the top for muscle building products. Please let me know if there is anything wrong with this to help me continue in my muscle building and getting ripped stages.
 
throw out the HMB...it does nothing, the ZMA you could get from a good multi. and the Protien make sure it's a good Whey, take along with glutamine and BCAA
 
For Protein i was thinking the Optimum Nutriton WHEY. For the Glutamine and BCAAs, do u think Universal Uni-Liver works on that one? and for ZMA i looked a little more into it and all the Multi i've seen do have the same ingredients, but, in a different form. For example in ZMA, Zinc is (as monomethionine and aspartate) on the Multi, Zinc is (as oxide) and the Magn, and b6 are aswell in a different form.
 
Optimum's Whey is fine, i actually use it also.
i have no idea about Uni-liver....but I would guess 'no' on that one...i would buy the glutamine and BCAAs seprate, try a bulk supplement store online like bulknutrition. just as a note of caution, the BCAA powder doesnt mix well and it tastes like rotten fish. Also Glutamine and BCAAs need to be taken with sugar for max absorption. Research indicates that 7 grams of leucine twice daily works best. To be honest that's a lot of BCAA to get that amount of leucine so i would go with maybe 7 grams total daily
 
alright cool... i been on the brand shit, like the BSN stack and some Animal Stak stuff... i wanted to go after the basic ingredients for muscle buidling... so that's why i got to reading and wanted to get ZMA, Protein, BCAAs, and maybe creatine ester ethyl? so, definately throw out the HMB? My workouts are good and i probbly do need to eat a little more. Is this advice abiding by what you use?? because you look pretty solid bro.

1) Get a multi from swansonvitamins.com
2) Whey Isolate Protein from trueprotein.com or allthewhey.com
3) Dextrose powder from either place
4) [Optional] Creatine

Skip the animal pak and everything else I didnt mention. If you still have money to burn (saved from the BCAA and Glutamine) head on over to theafstore.com and check out what they have to offer. I reccommend
Glucorrel-r and AIFM.
 
i don't get what it means by PUMPS for AIFM?? and i was thinking of getting CEE instead of Creatine Monohydrate.... i don't want to get that "BLOAT" or is there a better source of creatine?
 
yeah the HMB is junk it doesnt work...CEE i hear is pretty good, but i took all forms of creatine including CEE and they never worked for me. although it will probably work for you.
ProtienFiend suggests a good multi v...thats fine if you are not eating right, but save your money if you are eatting well....he also suggests dextrose which i wouldnt use unless you are incredibly thin and burn lots of calories in one day...as for the whey, i find that 100% whey works the same as all the other whey, believe me save your money here also

as for the AFstore...they have good products, but they are pricey

yeah this is what i do:
!00% whey protien
5 grams glutamine whenever i take the protien
7 grams BCAA once after the workout with sugar and then follow up 20min later with a protien drink
good fats (peanut butter, flax seed so on)
clean meats (skinless chicken, tuna, sushi, extra lean beef)
multi v in the morning along with extra B and C (i dont eat enough fruits and veggys)
I dont take creatine because it never helped me but i know a lot of people it did help
