how high do ya'll think gasoine prices will rise?

there will be more money put into alternative fuel development once the market dictates there is a demand for it. that is not the government's job. and once again, 1 out of 10 barrels of oil is actually used for gasoline.

.

i thought gasoline represented over 50% of all refined products.

boohoo, poor Americans! Look ^^^ what the rest of us have to pay. We're currently hovering just under $1 per litre. Factor in the conversion to the U.S. gallon and the difference in the dollar and we're paying about $3.50 a gallon. I just saw that the national average in the U.S. is a little over $2 a gallon. Woopee

your countries refineries can buy crude at the same prices we can, what you guys choose to do with it after that is your fault.

i understand what you are saying but id could just as easy say well the fbi didnt have sufficient security and intelligece operations but the need came about and the need was met..and youre kidding yourself if you think that all oil research and developement was privately funded

well i would agree, i guess the govt could do anything necessary. but we have only had high prices for a couple of weeks. lets give it more time and see before we start funding a new govt agency. besides, R&D is probably moving along at about the pace it needs to be. we dont want alternative fuel sources overnight. the oil industry crumbles, so does our economy. we will make that transition.

I filled up my SUV today....It was painful.

OUCH! :bawling:

How much? It was up to $2.15 a gallon here in the Dallas area. It's too expensive, just to drive to the store and get a coke, cost more than the coke. I smell a cospiracy and possibly a revolution.
