looking at different sites to compare prices basically BAC and AF AF has a good rep but a little pricey not much but comapre to beyond a century example: 99.7+% pure. 20 grams powder (200 X 100mg doses!). $16.25. Code 508.6 BAC seems to offer about 80 more pills and for almost $10 less is BAC reputable as far as beliving its really R-ala and not regualr ALA?
BAC also offers cq10 and acetyl l-cartinine at a good price are they really good products? also how about americannutrition.com?

I will let you in on a little secret but you have to promise not to tell any of the powder guys, ok? If you don't keep the container airtight and refrigerate the r-ALA from the time it's made until the time it's mixed with the rice powder and capped it will degrade very quickly back into racemic ALA.
Another alarming trend has been re-started by an unscrupulous lab. This lab that is selling analysis' of r-ALA using HPLC and stating that they got their standard (what they use to compare what you have tested to) of r-ALA from Sigma. Guess what? Sigma doesn't have an r-ALA standard to use. And you can't measure the optical rotation (R or S) of a molecule by using HPLC. You can only measure what the content of ALA is in the powder.

Last night I got a phone call from someone who asked about how much r-ALA he should use with each meal. I told him 1-2 capsules per meal. He said that he was doing that and was getting fatter not leaner. Well it turns out he didn't buy it from us, he bought it from gotfina.com and I guess they don't have a toll free number to answer questions like we do so he called us to ask what to do.
I went to the gotfina site and low and behold there is that lab test done with HPLC. Now I know why this guy is getting fatter and not leaner.
