How fat is too fat

My question relates to offseason condition. How far out of condition do you guys get. As anyone who has competed knows, having been at 4 or 5% bf, off-season shape feels so horrible! I just wonder how far is too far.

By the way, I cannot use question marks or contractions, because tose 2 buttons are screwed up!
 
for off season >15% bf is too much for me. i think hovering between 10% and 15% is fine for regular training or bulking.

ive never actually been below 7% myself
 
I never competed nore have I ever taken a body fat test but as long as I still keep pullin in the bitches than I'm ok.Like yesterday I walked in the store and I heard the brod behind the counter got to her friend wow he's hot.Now that just tells me I'm fine.It's all about the pussy:p

Oh brother...A guy who's truly in it for the right reasons :rolleyes: , everyone has their own I guess, nothing wrong with that.
 
To an extent, yes. My girlfriend trains hard to stay in shape year-round. Just because I am not dieting for a show does not mean that she should have to fuck a fat guy.
 
I don't even want to know LOL! I honestly don't keep track of my bf% in the winter cause I know I'd be onbe depressed mofo if I actually knew the numbers hehe...I try not to let it get too out of hand but after all, it is winter and I sure love my food so........ I find it easy to lose excess body fat pretty fast while maintaining muscle so I have no probs come spring/summer time

If I had to put it to a number I'd say 10-15% though I wouldn't bet my balls I've never broken 20% (yes possibly 20%) eating my ass off before I diet. The thing is, I rarely get the body fat tested. My measure is the mirror. The other thing, and I know a few bros will call bullshit, is that I think guys hold fat differently. I'm telling you that I've looked leaner at 12% than guys at 6-8%. Thats hydrostatic too. Who knows really? The bottomline is what you present on stage, or at the store pulling poon LOL. I say forget the % and look at the mirror and goals. If its about competition and you can shed the fat and you're still packing good muscle under the blubber than you aren't too fat. Tell the girlfriend to deal with it. "I'm just a whole lotta man, baby". By the way Quad, that fucking ridiculous in my opinion. You must love pain and deprivation bro cuz 6% is no picnic to maintain with mass. I SAID WITH MASS YOU 170lbrs WHO WANT TO CHIME IN THAT YOU STAY THERE YEAR ROUND TOO.
 
this is my first true bulk time and i fee like shit, but i just tell myself it'll be worth it in the spring, sometimes it seems like the troubles of dieting and cardio are easier on my mind than having to look in the mirror at a higher BF.....

Well due to depression eating after my injury I am probably7% and i do feel fat. And remember 6% on a 240# person is way different than 6% on a 170# person. Look at it like this A 200# man with 10# of fat is 5% while a 100# woman with 10# of fat is 10%. And here is the part that will piss everyone off...I do not have to diet really to stay at 6% I eat cheeseburgers almost everyday! Sorry but its true. I did bust my ass for literally YEARS to stay lean and now that is just kinda where my body stays unless I do somthing stupid. I stay at 6% on 5500-6000 calories a day.

I am not sure where my bf% is currently but, as long as I can still see my top 4 abs, I'm happy. I am a naturally lean person & have no problem shedding fat at all. I am in constant bulk mode & have never truely cut or did a cutting cycle so I am always eating as much as I can make myself eat.

Hey Quad, how's the recovery coming bro? Are you going to Monster Mash?
