How Does This Look For Some Whey?

Alright, Im 14, so i dont have a good income of money, so finding good protein bars and whey and shit like that is a bit harder, my parents somtimes buy me the odd pack of protein bars, and they buy me 6 packs of gatorade each weekend and buy boxes of eggs just for me to use etc but they I was thinking of gettin some whey, so the cheapest kind would obviously be the best.. aslong as it isnt shit quality like this type i saw on the internet that had 7g of protein per 50g. So I wanted to ask if this would be any good?

Or if not, any recomended makes of whey that arnt too expensive that can be bought in England, it doesnt have to be flavoured either as i can add my own flavourings at home with vanilla or stuff like that..

Thanks in advance.

Allright, well up until now thats exactly what I have done but I just wanted some whey for some quik and easy postworkout protein, rather than the normal eggs and milk shake, I used to have a maximuscle protein bar (22g of protein) with a gatorade and pint of milk after workouts but i finished the protein bars and wondered about whey this time...

Can you get your parents to order you a mix from Protein Factory or True Protein? If you have to pay them back then even if you make it mainly WPC you'll be better off than most of the big supplement companies...

Allright ill look into protein factory and true protein, i read somewere that some companies do unflavoured, uncolored whey and because its just raw whey its alot cheaper to buy.. anyone no any companies that do this?

(1) Ditch the gatorade. It's mainly table sugar. Get your parents to give you the equivalent money for protein powder.

I'm not going to bore you too much with the details, but the high degrees of fructose in gatorade means its not optimal PWO.

White rice, white potatoes, bread, or rice would elicit a higher insulin effect and be better.

(2) Suppose you cannot get protein powder, what do you do?

If you can't get whey, your disadvantage will obviously be the absence of fast absorbing protein.

However, you can mitigate this substantially by consuming protein immediately b4 your workouts.

Just have C + P before and after weights.

Consider say 3 slices of bread + 150 grams of tuna b4 and after weights, and if ur not happy with your weight gain, add a glass of milk too!

The need for a fast absorbing protein is going to be less if your already in a "fed" state.

Good luck - I wish I started training at 14 and not 24

You can easily get in what you need from whole foods, and cheaper (especially in England). I have a LA Muscle shop in Cyprus and I know that they have a really good quality product(s) but the price isn't dirt cheap.

Where are you located? I may have friends in your area.
