i personally push it in slow and roll the barrell between my fingers as i go, but i take almost all my shots in my arms(bis, tris, or delts) and you do NOT want to do a quick jab in your bi's!!

You're a monster Dr if you jab the Bi's I stay away from those. Everyone is particular to what they inject though. I go in quick. I have tried the slow method and just like the quicker jab better. My hands shake a little more when I go slow.

My procedure: I spray alcohol in the area (I pour rubbing alcohol in empty hair spray bottle). Jab > aspirate > inject > withdraw fast > apply pressure with alcohol swab for a few seconds to stop any bleeding > apply a bandaid and leve it on for a few hours (preferably leave it overnight).

if you hit a nerve you would be one unhappy camper. i also go slow for this purpose. 3rd time injecting i hit a nerver in my quad. i can only imagine the pain if i had shoved the pin fast.

Slow and steady is the way I go; if I do end up hitting a nerve or blood vessel- which has happened on occation-it's not as bad. I only shoot quads and bi's though. Never had the nerve to just jab... props to all that do

Health care workers don't really care if they hurt you or not, they are just getting it over with as fast as possible. It takes like 1 min tops, when going slow injecting and then pulling out. If you can't spare 1 min to make sure you go in the right spot, than you got a problem.

Why not use an alcohol pad before injecting. Spraying it out of a bottle, for what reason? That wouldn't even wipe away any of the dirt that you may have on your skin. Not very smart. You can buy a box of pads for like $2-3 for a box of 100 at your local grocery chain.

If it works for you, fine, but it seems like you take unneeded risks.

Guess I hit a nerve when going into the delt. Kind of freaky, sticking the needle in and then seeing your muscles start twitching and dancing on their own. Glad I didn't go fast as that would have probably hurt like a bitch.
