STEROIDS ARE FOR LAZY, LOW-LIFE LOSERS!

The alarming incidence of steroid abuse among lifters and athletes does not surprise me one bit in this day and age. The attitude of getting everything at once without putting in any effort is very prevalent in today's society.

I can't stand this attitude. Everybody wants to be rich, but there are few who are willing to work hard enough to earn the money. There are so many people who whine about their job, but they don't have the balls to do something about it - whether it be saving money to go back to school, working overtime to earn a promotion, or trying something new altogether. Instead people buy lottery tickets and take trips to Atlantic City, or sit at a bar and talk about what they SHOULD have done. Everybody wants to be thin, but again nobody has the mental fortitude to get down and put the time in. You're fat? Well, let's see. You don't exercise, you sit on your ass all day, and your diet consists of donuts and Pepsi. And you are complaining? Tell most people that they have to eat right and exercise, and they will tell you that they don't want to or they don't have the time. They would rather waste money on the latest diet pill they saw on TV, or on the book with all the secrets on how to eat donuts and Pepsi and STILL lose weight, instead of actually trying. The same thing goes for all of those bogus supplements out there. Every day someone else is buying this garbage and even worse, actually believing that it will have a drastic effect on their appearance.

Steroids fall right into this category. People want all of the muscle without working for it. Some people do not have the guts to get in the gym and do what it takes to build muscle and strength; they would rather do nothing and get the results. Well, to me that is a joke. If there was a safe way to build muscle without training, I would still train. One of my main interests is strength training, and I get a lot of fulfillment from the feeling of making progress every week, and from knowing that I am working twice as hard as 99 percent of the people in the world will ever work in their lives. I am sure that many of the people reading this are the same way, but we are the minority. For every one of us that loves to squat until we vomit, there are a hundred who would never voluntarily attempt such a feat if their life depended on it...because it's too hard. They would much rather take the easy way out by using steroids. Health concerns aside, would you really feel proud of all of the muscle that you have built if you got it through a syringe? I know I wouldn't. It's a question of character.

Is it easier to just take drugs? Yes. Is it worth it in terms of your character and your health? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Like Bob's slogan says: "BUILD MUSCLE THE OLD FASHIONED WAY...EARN IT!"

you still have to work for your gains on steriods if it were easy every one would do it
you have to eat right and bust your ass in the gym get good night sleep and lots of other shit brother so its not for low life loser. steriods help mike lots of people in sports without them they are nothing

you know what....i really really wish this was the way it went. i wish that by taking steroids you wouldnt have to work as hard.....amazing....the views of people that never have used them.....

so watch your mouth what you say about us steriods users till you tryed it i dont think you should open your mouth about us u dont know what its like bia

Linkin Park = Simplistic, whiney, pop-rock
Slipknot = unoriginal nu-metal that can be the same sound with 4 less band members

They both bore me.

i'll take the celine dion i guess.

er . . . i mean slipknot. The new album's interesting, but fromzero has it right, they could do the same thing with a quartet or even trio (but fz -- there would be a lot less mask variety, and isn't that the real point? :) )

But it's a tough choice. Like saying, "Which is the better wine, cisco or boone's farm?"

stinkinpork is really dull. Why not just go buy kennyg and finish faggin' it up. Seriously, if you are bored enough with rock to consider these guys, consider switching music genres for a while, like funk, jazz, trance, world . . . Or maybe get off the mtv/reality show teat, as there is a ton of music out there. If you really don't want to be offered old has-beens like eminem or boy bands like hoobastank and nickelback, get more interested in communicating with good record labels and get music you really like. You put effort into your food and training and life to be special, to be a better, bigger man, so why accept the commerical slop for what is the sound of life and the energy of the heart -- music. It's at least as important as food and training in becoming. If you fill your head and heart with mediocrity, you will be mediocre. Active people do not accept what is, they make it be. Check out the newcd purchases thread for new music in rock.
