didnt really know where to post this one, just curious the best ways you guys dispose your syringes?

I cap them, and store them in a 4 litre empty milk jug, and keep in a safe place where it can't be touched, then when its full I guess I will dispose the jug into the garbage, seems safe enough to me?

Fill up a giant protien tub and toss it in a dumptser far from me....

There was a thread about this before, the funniest response was "i hide them in the sand box at a nearby school" lmao

^^^ good ideas.. i am most concerned with the garbagemen accidentally getting poked or hurt. those needles are sharp and thin enough to really hurt someone. i know hospitals and dr's offices dispose of them in medical waste. perhaps someone can shed some light on that, i dunno what happens to them when they are taken away.

I have some concern for them also but mostly paranoid of LE or a dog tipping over my trash and spilling pins all over the street... That would be embarassing lol

I just follow the disposal guidelines for where I live. Place them in a plastic detergent container. Put in a little bleach. Tape it shut, write nonrecylcable on it, and place it in a trash bag with my other garbage.

Bling Bling, M-fers. I sell them to the little kids at the park in the summer for $1 more than I paid for them. They make awesome little squirt-guns. You gotta be thinking homies, Im gettin paid....

Seriously, pull the plunger out put the needle in the barrel backwards and replace plunger and press it until it jams. Every so often I run them to a place that you are suppose to. If anyone ask, and they dont, tell them you use them to refill ink cartridges for printers.

broke the needle tip off and pulled the plunger out put the broken tip back inside the barrel and put the plunger back and pushed the plunger down. Then lets say ya have five or so like that, then ya wrap those five with tape and put them in a bag then drive to the nearest gas station garbage or just throw them away in home garbage. always been way paranoid about that issue.

^^^^ is what we should all be doing.

i personally just put them in a water bottle, coffee tin, or whatever jar i have lol

someone in my family has insulin needs daily shots
someone else gets shots for arthritis
its easy to dispose of if you want to get the sharps container and use them.

i just use the soda bottle taped up method.

I go to my local drug store and get a bio hazard container for free and put my syringes in the container. Bring back the full container to the drug store and they will dispose of it for you Please dispose your syringes properly.

after u fill a old protien tub up or we just get some bags to wrap around the jug then trash it or get some old grocery bags and stuff the inside of the box and the sides then throw ur needles in it

you can buy a proper sharps container (cheap) from your local pharmacy. They can also give you a list of local drop off facilities for when the container is full. Just drop it off.
Tons of people take shots everyday for legit reasons.
Throwing them in the the regular garbage is just $^%&#$ up!

I put them in a special box at our horse barn, which is for biomedical waste, and the county comes and swaps it for an empty one when full. I would NEVER put them in a place where someone might get hurt, or where an animal might be pawing through for garbage, etc, nor would I put them in a public trash can. When I'm in Dallas, I save them and bring them back to CA to throw out. Dallas sends trash to a sorting plant, where somebody might get hurt.

If I didn't have that as an option, I'd probably get a pair of wire cutters and snip them in pieces, and then put them in the trash in a glass jar with a metal lid.

If you want to go legal, most counties have a program through the local health department for diabetics to save and send in used syringes. Ask at a local pharmacy.

I used to just eat them all...but I started getting stomach pains after a while so I started throwing them into a special box for disposal.

Buy a sharps container. Most places,,,clinics..hospitals,,have drop off spots for these for
folks who use lots of pins like diabetics.

I switched to the local drugstore biohazard container... milk jug method was okay but actually ineffective... ended up getting poked one day

I just use empty vitamin bottles, once filled up a little rubber cement around the cap and off to the trash. Syringe(no needle attached) goes in regular trash, nothing special.

I collect mine for about a month, and dump them in a park garbage bin like any self-respecting junkie would.

I actually keep and autoclave my syringes. I cap the needles, collect them in empty vitamin bottles as well, and throw them out in the trash.
