How do you guys determine a vet around here?

What does everyone look as far being a vet to this particular board? Knowledge? Attitiude? Karma Hits/Power? Advice? Appearance? Number of Posts? Time as a Memebr?

Let's hear it. Sticky?

I go by track record of posts. If the person has always given sound advice time and time again, then they are good in my book. I would never go by karma, or post count, or even member join date.

Interesting subject. I can't wait until I see all the replies :)

someone can be a huge teacher and not be that big at all. however showing that they know how to get into shape is huge. they should be someone that is physically inspirational as well as the knowledgable to give and critique advice. ... give me 10 years :)

Well said...

i go by name recognition...for the most part... ive been on a break from the game but back now.... i have over 5 years here, pretty decent knowledge of AAS not a ton of post, am im certainly not a vet... best bet is to trust in your MODS... stick around... use the "search" function... it is an extremely important, sadly underused tool... thats my 2cents.

I could care less about karma or the amount of time someone has been on the board. I just keep track of who seem's to be giving good sound advice everytime they post.

GIVE a man a fish....he will eat for a DAY...

TEACH a man to fish....he will eat for a LIFETIME...

Knowledge is power--do your research.

Someone who knows what they are talking about time and time again...

They can be here for just a week or even 5 years...
They HAVE to know what they are talking about and be able to back it up in a real world discussion :) (not just someone who can copy and paste valuable info :rolleyes...Anyone can do that :o)

When you see someone who repeatedly gives advice that you know you couldn't possibly have handed out yourself and your continuing reasearch shows that they are right are then you know you have a golden vet whose posts are worth taking note of.

Even then, always do your own research to follow up their advice and suggestions rather than taking it blindly.

Agree 100%.

with time...you figure out who gives sound advise. but then again...that goes with just about everything in life. i look at the whole picture. i haven't been here for too long either but i think i know who the knowledged bros are.

Nice what u taking?

On this site opinions may differ. In the real,non-cyber world i would consider someone a vet by several different things.First, they have to have at least a solid if not better physique. The personal expierience they have had with different gear and they have to have really used it and not use others expieriece or reasearch. The amount of actual gym expirience.Age is a factor.Last but not least is thier ability to willingly want to help others no matter how stupid the question or the amount of the same questions asked.Remember we all started somewhere. If you put that all together with someone with good common sense, that will give you your vets for both this site, any site and real-life gym vets.

By the way,I belong to and surf thru many of the sites and by far elite is the best. All of the mods such as radar are very knowledgeable and will help you out.

Sadly, some people actually think that way...:(

There are people who think that because they "SAY" they are 250 lbs @ 7% bf  that they should be respected even though they talk down to everyone like their shit doesnt stink :o
Or if someone says that they make more money than eveyone else (atleast they claim they do  ) that they should be respected and listened to

But everyone needs to learn to READ BETWEEN THE LINES and you will see that not everything is as it always appears here...

Given enough time reading through posts day in and day out you WILL learn who to listen to and who not to...Its just like anything else in life, the more time you spend doing it the better you will get at it :)

Knowledge, experience, and the willingness to help out when sound advice is needed. Post count means nothing nor does karma or the amount of time on the board.

Alltraps wow! How much primo did that take? :D

Net Vets =

anyone with 'big' in their nickname (they must be huge)

anyone with 1000's of posts on the AAS board and none on the members pics board (they're too big to fit into a photo)

anyone who claims they're X lbs and Y %bf (people would NEVER lie and make shit up online)

anyone who posts with final authority on any juice subject (of course they know what's best for you, everyone responds exactly the same to gear)
