do you let them come to the surface?

do you mask them?

do you ignore them?

do you engage them?

just curiuos as to how you guys mediate them

I usually keep them under control and I have been getting better at being more open about my emotions (good and bad). I don't like to yell.

That said, there have been 5 things this year, that made me explode like a firecracker. And, I have absolutely no regrets about that.

after being through so much shit already, many things that would bother other people don't faze me. other than that, the things that piss me off get taken out while working out, or in violent daydreams (or should I say fantasies?).
Everything else I just absorb, regressing it all.

I tend to let it all out when I'm in the car. Normally I would take it out in the gym, but since I work for my trainer and spend 90% of my time at the office which happens to be IN the gym, I take it out in the car. I've also managed to relax about things too. Same approach as Tom Cruise in that movie w/ Rebecca Demourney - "Sometimes ya just gotta say WTF".

I work them out for the most part. And it shows....I am very vascular when my blood gets pumping. :chomp:

I try not to get worked up over stuff. I just keep thinking to myself that everything that I want is only a matter of time and that this is only a delay.

Try and understand the motivation behind a situation or a person in a situation and how it may relate to you, then you can understand and deal with your own emotional responses.

Works for me on almost everything but those few knee jerk situations where you just response to the instant feeling of raw emotion.

Depends on the situation and who's involved. Sometimes I keep things bottled up...the problem with that is that resentment slowly builds and it all comes out later on. Other times, I try to just stop caring. And there are times when I've just been so angry/upset that I've just flipped out - I try not to react that way, though. lol.

Oftentimes I'll vent through writing in a journal - that helps a lot, because at least I'm venting my thoughts and feelings instead of keeping 'em bottled up.

I can take alot of shit, and do. Im not really known as a hothead but there are times when I want to blow up. I manage, most of the time. Normally just distance myself from whatever or whoever is getting to me. I find that people who lose their composure normally do or say something that they will more than likely regret.

Yes this seems to describe what I do too..But I often tend to overthink things sometimes..

I like to be in control. Not "controlling", there is a difference. If you let someone else make you "emotional", then you're not in control.... I don't like that, and don't let it happen.

If you do get emotional, then you're assuming the person you're doing it with, has the capability of understanding it. If they don't, then why bother? I HATE doing something for no reason... with no result.

I have been noticing I'm blabbering a lot today.

I'm glad to hear that many more people just make the decision that they aren't gonna care about whatever it is. I do this and thought that maybe I was, um...coldhearted, or something. Sounds just like a common reaction for many people out there to shitty stuff that happens.
