How do people who get scaked get jobs so soon again?

Not sure, I imagine it's either EEOC or something at the state level.
Some states require a previous employer provide them with a job reference sheet, that they can take to potential employers.

Thank you. Do you know what law it is that governs this issue? Would it be under the EEOC maybe?

it's not that the law won't allow you to give a bad reference

it's that companies won't give them now, because the ex-employee can come back and sue their ass for almost anything they say.

so they choose to say nothing and then don't get sued. where is the upside for them in giving a bad reference and putting themselves at risk? they get nothing out of it but potential trouble.

This has NEVER stopped me from giving a bad reference.
Most people giving the reference don't give a fuck if the company gets sued.

right, but many times it is company POLICY!

sued for giving a bad reference? That's the biggest crock of bullshit I've ever heard.

Code have you ever been asked to give a reference for someone you had terminated?
