How do I remove GAIN software from my PC?

if u get rid of it you are getting rid of a part of kazaa and thus kazaa wont work but if you did want to get rid of it i suggest Ad-Aware.

Get adshield to stop pop-ups while surfing the net.
Ad-aware helps too, as mentioned before.
You could also try "reg cleaner" to clear out any foreign programs from your registry.

get rid of kazaa, get am anti pop up software, and install kazaalite. if you mostly download music, get soulseek

It might not just be Kazaa. You might have another program that you downloaded that has spyware bundled with it. I'd check through your programs and delete any that look suspect. I once ran ad-aware on a computer 5 times in a run before it got everything. I ran it twice, deleted a few programs, ran it again, re-booted and ran it 2 more times and all was good. You want to ran ad-aware at least twice to make sure it got everything.
