Who cares you cant control that so dont think your one voice (even if you parents told you otherwise will make a difference) will. It wont its too late for that. Just note that they are over there dying for you and yours. Not by there sole choice. So you should support them regardless because now they dont have a choice and you should be behind them. What they are going through is very brutal. So in support of your troops you should tell all the non war addicts to FUCK OFF. The only reason they have that choice to voice there opinion is because they are over there for them.

Tink, reread my post, I really don't want you to missunderstand.

I fully, totally support our boys over there, and their families, as well as every patriot serving in every branch, either in harms way or here providing support services. If anyone has every read my posts on this topic, they KNOW THIS. Their political stance or their beliefs about the situation matter not, I am not talking about that in any way.



Supporting their bravery and sacrifice is in no way determined by my viceral horror about the lies, both then and the ongoing systematic preparations in the media by the chickenhawks to plunge young men and women like them into further harm without just cause.

I support our troups, I will never support what for many will be the ultimate sacrifice for ill gain.

Chef sweetie~ Thank you hun!! It just sucks some times to know that there are people who do not stand behind our soliders. I got kicked out of a store, right after my husband got deployed, because the clerk was bashing the woman in front of me because her husband was in the amry deployed to iraq and the clerk told her basically what a POS her and her husband were. So i had to put my two cents in, and remind her if it wasn't for my husband and others before him, she might not be standing here alive, or running her mouth off. Our soldiers believe in what they fight for. If you ask most of them. And all the soliders that i know, i asked about the run for president, and they all said they were going to vote bush back in. At times i do not think that people completly understand why bush has done what he has, and i for one do not feel obligated to tell what we believe, know or understand. Wether we should be there or not, it is still a vital part of the mission that the soldiers have support. When they think about returning home to a society who views them as baby or women killers, it brings down the moral there and has been some of the cause of soldiers suicides.
It is very hard for me to post on any of these threads, because i do not think unless you have an affiliation with the military can you truly understand how much the support of others means to you.

Hey Lady, i'm in the same boat as you. My g/f is in the Naval Reserves and will be deployed come February. I've been battleing my emotions on this since July when she told me.
