No offense to anyone in law enforcement I realized early on in my dating career that cops and me didn't mix. Matter of fact I truly believe that certain people are not matches based on something as simple as their chosen profession as I believe that certain types gravitate towards certain professions. Once I figured out what *type* suited ME best, if an individual was in that profession, we didn't go out. Not to say that they weren't nice men. Just sayin that they weren't a match FOR ME.
I wouldn't date cops, fire-fighters, anyone that had a 9 to 5, even if it was the CEO - not unless he was a shareholder and was more than just someone that could be hired/fired at the will of the company's owner, doctors and lawyers.
^^^ This was based on MY personality alone. I was looking for those that would be compatible with my likes/dislikes. It made it very easy to eliminate candidates right off the bat.
