lol bro. It's not all white people. There's a pretty broad mix of people in that area. Not many blacks, unless they're muslims from some African country. There are some nicer parts too.

That is awful. "home robbery gone wrong" - sounds like a planned beating, why would a burglar take a baseball bat? They were lucky to survive really.

Claremont has a pretty large Asian community if I remember correctly. I remember a few years back there was a rather large number of home invasion robberies in San Diego predominantly Asian gangs targeting Asian homeowners.
