Holy Shit Juicing Takes A Lot Of Money!!

I am planning on starting my first cycle really soon. I realize how important it is to keep your protein intake high while juicing. On my budget it will be hard for me to afford enough to eat (protein). So what I am currently doing is stock piling Designer RTD drinks and good protein bars such as Met-Rx bars. It cost me $50 for a case of the designer drinks and another $20-25 for a box of bars. With a case of drinks and bars I am getting a combined protein amount of 1284 grams of protein. That comes out to 183.43 grams of protein a day, for a week. Being 170 pounds I still need 156.57 grams of protein a day. I do have some powder for home but I really need to drink 3 drinks at work and a couple of bars every day. At this rate I will be spending in 12wks $900 dollars just on protein at work. Do you guys have any ideas on how I might be able to save my self money on food for outside of work. Thanks for all the help, Matt!

bro.....yes, protien shakes are good....and protien bars are nice....

But why dont you take a look at the price of chicken? or tuna?

See how much protien is in there...

5 oz of chicken....which should cost about 50 cents

Has about 45 grams of protien...

You can buy a shitload....cook once every 3 days....and have PLENTY of protien..

And the way i see it, Protien from Chicken, Meat or Fish is twice as good as some powder.

Oh....by the way, 1 small can of tuna....40 grams protien, no carbs, and 5 grams of fat.

Cmon...FUCK THE POWDER!

Bro, do not waste your money on protein bars and canned protein drinks.

Get a couple 5lbs tubs of protein powder. Cheap protein powder is good protein powder. Preiod. The bet quaility protein powder is only a fraction better then the cheap stuff so don't waste your money.

Get a blender and use the protein powder to make your own shakes.

Other than that eat fish, chicken, lean meat. It's cheaper than buying protein bars and it works just as good if not better.

Try to use "real" food when possible. Chicken, tuna, red meat will be cheaper than engineerd food.

Also get rid of the bars and RTD's. By a big container of protein powder and a few shaker cups. Before work through a couple of scoops into each cup and take that to work. Just add water and shake. An RTD is around $3, to get the same amount of protein from the powder it is about 50 cents. Two of those a day and you are saving $5 a day. Over 12 weeks you are saving $420.

You really should be getting most of your protein from real food. For shakes use protein powder. Only time I eat protein bars is when I'm in a jam.

If you are on a budget why are you buying the most expensive least effective form of protein available? Metrx protein bars? Shit. Introduce yourself to tunafish, frozen chicken breasts from Sam's Club, and at 170 lbs try eating 230-40 grams of protein per day on your cycle, not 160.....by the way, you are not knowledgeable enough about bodybuilding to even use steroids but that's another thread.

Cluck or swim your way to victory my boy. .50 cents for a can of tuna @26g protein per can. Chicken is even better, fry up three breast, have one for a snack, dice one up in a salad and eat the third as a meal. Throw in a can of tuna as a snack and you have @160g protein right there. Have 1 whey shake after the gym, your up to 220g; it's not hard.

i am only using protein suppliments for work

you are not knowledgeable enough about bodybuilding to even use steroids but that's another thread

and how can you learn anything if everytime you ask a question you got some jack ass shooting you down. show some love to the newbies. shit i know if i am still around here in a couple of years i will. because its the right think to do.
