I think Trampoline is coming up and we medaled in that in Athens.

Next summer olympics is in Vancouver and athletes may finally get the funding they deserve. Right now they get virtually zero and have to pay most of their training costs.

At least they participated and gave it their best, right?

well, i would rather have less medals and live in a free country where i don't have to worry about being executed by government for disagreeing with it.

plus, those chinese athletes are training from the time they can walk. there was an interview with china's gold medal winner for rowing, and he talks about the horrors involved in being an athlete for the chinese government and how it pretty much ruined his life.
