...Shrugs...parallel grip on a machine...

...weight doesnt really matter...does it?

Brother, you don't have to tell us numbers

the only thing that matters is that you had some weight on there this time

fuckers......

I really like this bench machine at my gym...handles go up and in as you pull them.

495 for 11

Solid work man! 11 is da shit.

You know we're going to be dicks about it.

post some pics of your traps

I had a good shot in my avanananavatavatatar...but I pulled it down.

I had a huge strength jump...I had focused on doing multiple sets of contrated holds on the shrugs with 225 then 315 then 365......I didnt do ANY sets of conventional reps over 405 during this time.....

Contracted position holds = more Time Under Tension = more strength and size...

hmmmmmm

Thats a good number on a Smith...I HATE using anything but a diamond bar or machine. Shrugging in fornt of you is a poor way to build traps,.....weight should go theu centerline of the body of slightly behind

I prefer to use dumbells the majority of the time for this reason as well. At the time, I was using the smith as more of a power movement....since the gym I was at back then only had dumbells up to 130 and no machine better suited to shrugging.

i can load 205 on the bar and do at least 3 or 4 weak half-reps.

don't feel bad, it takes time to build a body this strong.

good job cr0n. i haven't trained my no-necks directly with shrugs in like 6 months and instead have been relying on nothing but deadlifts. when i did do them i was a big fan of doing them behind the back. wish my gym had a trap bar...that would be ideal.

yep....

SSMe - if you have a shoulder press machine you can do them standing on the seat....

of course with your reputation, one might think you were mounting the machine

here you go...

how many seconds are you holding for on those reps?

now that is a piece of work, borther.

So you're saying you hold the bar up, contracted, for 60 seconds.

That's some tuff shit man.

I'm gonna try it!
