Hit A Nerve??

I shot two days ago in my left glute like I always do with omna/deca, but really didn't rub it that much after. I woke up yesterday with my ass killing me. Today it still hurts, a little better, but it seems like the pain has moved up around to just above my crack and lower lower back. What do you guys think I did?? Did I hit a nerve?? When does the pain go away, should I see a doc??

Well you definitely did not hit a nerve, b/c if you had you would have know immediately. Its not the most comfortable feeling if the world either, your muscle would have twitched violently and uncontrollably if you would have hit one. It sucks, ive hit one in my leg and my chest before. My chest I was shooting PGF with an insulin pin and it flung the damn thing across the bathroom!

Keep an eye on it. It may be getting infected. is it red and/or swelling?

nautica- yeah, crazy shit when that happens, scares you for a second, then your like damn!

There could be several factors that lead of your ass being so sore. You could have moved that needle around damaging the inj. site, sometimes without you even realizing it. You could have inj. in a sensitive spot that could have been more highly innerviated or vascular. The angle with which you inj could also play a role in regards to the physiology of the muscle itself. Dont worry about it, youll be fine.

btw- within the next few days if it continues to hurt, with sensitivity, warm feeling, maybe a knot, then see someone. Take your temperature periodically, a temp can indicate infection.

Well it still hurts today, but not as bad. It seems as if the pain has creeped up towards my lower back. If I feel around I can feel a small knot right above my crack on my left side. Today, I shot in my right glute, was this smart?? I really don't want to see a doc, but how long shoul I wait. Hopefully I'm just being a pussy and it's nothing, but it is weird because I've never had any pain in the past.

Keep an eye on it. It is not that big of a deal to go to the doc. If you catch early enough he will just give you some anitbiotics. If you have a full prescription of them at your house. It might not hurt to take them. That could keep you from a doc visit, maybe.

So if I can get some antibiotics, I should just take them and see if the pain goes away. Heres the other thing, my dad is a pharmacist, so he can deffiantly get me some antibiotics, but what should I tell him I need them for. Obviously I can't tell him the truth??

be careful when your shooting in your glut. you always want to go to the lateral side toward your hip. your sciatic nerve runs superior to inferior on your glut, and if you hit it, you could really fuck yourself up! be careful

You do not have an infection from a shot two days ago, however, if you have shot this same glute a week or two ago you may have an infection. What I think happened is that you injected in the area of a nerve without hitting it. The oil in the shot may have caused localized inflamantion and swelling, putting pressure on the nerve or nerve bundle. It does bear watching for signs of infection. I think that your going to be fine without treatment.

happened to me

I shot 3cc or sust at once (DUHHH!), it hurt like a bitch. That was back when I was green at this. Mt dumbass friend says "why do 3 shots this week when I can do 1! Well mt ass hurt so bad I could not walk. It creeped into my lowback just like yours. Lasted 10 days!!! As you can guess I never did that shit again! I don't do Sust anymore because it kills me. Omna tends to be dirty so watch it for infection.
