Hip thrusts

I see a lot of ladies doing them in the gym. Recommend for guys as well ?

i'm not even sure what a hip thrust is but i am assuming it works your lower back

why not just do roman chairs instead?

Nope, it's for building strong glutes.
You kinda take the bar on your lap and then push it up driving your pelvis up.

It'll work the same muscles (your butt and lower back).
