HIIT or low intensity

when you guys are on a cyle and aiming to drop bodyfat, what kind of cardio do you do? High intensity interval training or low intensity?
ive read conflicting reports in as much as when you do high intensity (even for short intervals) you end up burning muscle whereas low intensity you burn fat. i know first thing on an empty stomach is best time but i'd like to know which is the best way.
 
I did cardio once - made me feel dizzy. Pretty sure it isn't good for you and will lower all your 1RM's...lol...I might be wrong

While walking uphill on an empty stomach is said to be the best for burning fat and not muscle it is also a good precursor to homicide. I prefer 20-30 minutes of HIIT 3x a week.
 
what's you're present bf? assuming you are not aiming for very low bf, i'd say go for 4-5 mins of short and intense cardio in the AM and PM on non training days and on training days, say you workout in the AM, then do the cardio in the PM. your diet should take care of the rest.

id say im about 13/14%. you can see my abs but theres a thin layer over them which i wanna lose. i'd say i'd be happy at 9 or 10% probably.
did you mean 4-5 mins? doesnt seem long enough to me!

you'll do it 2x per day and INTENSE - if you can do more without sacrificing intensity good for you (in any case more will leave you overtrained with weights too)... it's just to keep your metabolism up most of the day every day...diet should take care of the rest.
 
HIIT with 30:60 second intervals for 10-12 cycles 3x per week is a fantastic way to drop fat
