Right on Bros! When I logged on to Elite this afternoon, I was just blown away by these posts by all of you.... its great to hear from all of my old friends here.
sk*- Yeah Bro... you remember well. Initially, my GP diagnosed me with severe Liver failure when he pulled my blood following the onset of edema. His reason for doing so was his discovery of very low levels of protein/albumen in my blood, coupled with the fact that I had disclosed to him my use of Winstrol at 100mg/ED. However, 2 weeks later... an Emergency Physician did more throrough testing and found all that protein that was missing from my blood, in my urine. He said my Liver was operating at 100% and it was my Kidneys that were in failure. He sent me to an Internal Organ Specialist the next day who diagnosed me with (Membranous)Nephrotic Syndrome.
In February, I had a Kidney biopsy... that's when shit got scary. I bled internally from the surgery and developed a massive pulmonary embolism(blood clot in the Lung). I found out then that Nephrotic Syndrome causes the blood to be hyper-coagulant and hyper-lipid... basically making my blood like vegetable soup. I can tell you this Bros... that PE put me through the worst pain I've ever experienced. Each shallow breath felt like someone had stabbed me with an ice-pick through my left Lung... straight through, front to back.
I'm still Nephrotic... here are the meds I'm currently taking:
Paxil 20mg/ED for anxiety, not depression.
Synthroid 100mcg/ED
Altace 20mg/ED Renal dose, not for high BP
Coumadin 8mg/ED
Crestor 20mg/ED despite having a clean diet, this disease makes your cholesterol high
Lasix I'll take 40mg maybe once/week... its rare I'll have any edema now. If I watch my sodium/potassium intake, I'm good. But when I eat pizza or some other ethnic food... I'll have to take a Lasix.
The only supplements I'm on right now are Natures Best Whey Protein Isolate, a good MRP powder, and Green Tea Extract.
If anyone has any ideas on what else might help... I love to hear from ya.
